How I longed for this day...
It's raining so it's better even!
I don't mind bringing my work with me... just some.
There is no place like home.
My body aches; my bed only a few paces away.
Oh, how I longed for this day!
Do what you love. Love what you love.
We're all in the same boat.
I have no control over how people feel about the things I do. People who ask me to apologize will have to fall in line. I would apologize if I was wrong. This is not one of those times. --Conrado de Quiros
Life is short. Make it great.
How I wish our presidential aspirants would dream of a funeral like Cory's for themselves. And the only way to achieve that is to make much of the 6 years in service and become as noble as they could be. To gauge one's nobility, one should keep this in mind:
Will the entire nation mourn for me when I'm gone?
Pray hard. It works.
A few points from last night's recollection facilitated by Fr. Raul delos Santos of Men of Light.
- A simple prayer...
In the name of the Father... since He's the Almighty Creator of all things bright and beautiful, think of 3 things you are grateful for.
And of the Son... since He died on the cross to save us from our sins, think of 3 things you are sorry for.
And of the Holy Spirit... giver of the Seven Gifts, think of the 3 things you most earnestly ask for.
- Show up. Shut up. Cheer up!
There was once a farmer who did not know how to pray. But before going to his farm every morning and before going home in the afternoon, he would always drop by the village chapel, sit there in silence for a while and tells God, "Lord, I'm here." And when it was time for him to pass away, God went to meet him and said, "Farmer, I'm here."
- Faith is...
3/4 patience.
- Celebrate your humanity!
It's okay to be angry.
It's okay to be sad.
It's okay to be afraid.
Just remember the 90-10 rule.
Only 10% of it is beyond your control.
Everything else is up to you.
